Pink and Green

Lately I noticed that I have been sewing a lot of pink and green items.

Here is a bib I made. I found a pattern online and decided to give it a try. I have some more ready to embroidery/applique and will post when they are finished.
Here is a dress I made for my friend, Amber, to give to her little cousin.

I have been making a lot of baby dresses lately for showers and this a green and white gingham dress with pink monogram for one of those showers.

This is a Christmas dress I made last week. I had been thinking about using this green fabric for a while and found the pink corduroy in my fabric closet so I put them together and loved it. I posted them on facebook and had two orders the next day. I'll post the others I have made later.

First Refashion

I have been reading a lot about refashioning clothing. My mom has told me many a story about my great grandmother refashioning clothing to save on fabric, but I don't think I'm ready for it yet.

This was my first attempt at "refashioning"

I took a dress made for a friend last year and added a ruffle to the bottom so it could be worn with tights as a top this year.

Another friend recycled some of her older daughters' clothing for her third child. So I put her name on some outfits...this is the only one I took a picture of...

Busy Bee

I have had a few projects lately.
I embroidered towels for my mom.

A coworker wanted some burp pads made for a shower.

My friend, Lisa, had brought me some great fabric she wanted a dress made from.

Pillowcase Dress Model

This is Madi Ruth Collums modeling the pillowcase dress her mom had me make for her. Isn't she the cutest baby?
